To celebrate National Police Week, the Coral Gables Museum gives active and retired police officers together with their families an opportunity to explore the museum for free. The museum used to be the old police and fire station from 1939 to 1975. It was built as a WPA project during the time of the Great Depression. This remarkable building is now part of the list of the National Register of Historic Places.
A photography exhibit entitled “Our Building’s History” will be featured during the event. This activity will be open from May 15, 12:00 p.m. to May 21, 6:00 p.m. The Coral Gables Museum is located at 285 Aragon Avenue Coral Gables, FL 33134.
